The charity wants the Buckinghamshire community to know, they understand how hard it can be to reach out for support, while also encouraging people to take that step, if they need it.
Tracy Rogers, Safe Haven Operations Manager said:
“We hope that by watching the video, it helps our community members who are emotionally overwhelmed or in crisis, feel more able to call us and find coming in to see us less daunting because they’ll know exactly what to expect.
“Many people have had or will have thoughts of self-harm or suicide and we want to encourage everyone having these thoughts to get in touch for safety and support.”
Buckinghamshire Mind promotes conversations about mental ill-health and suicide because talking openly is a way to reduce the stigma and encourage more people to reach out and seek help.
