The rock 'n' roll firestarters are bringing the heat for just three exclusive shows in England – two at top London venues The Albany and The Water Rats and their third show at The Crooked Crow Bar in Leighton Buzzard town centre on Saturday, May 3.
They are not new to the venue having had a fantastic show here back in October 2023.
The band are normally based in Toronto and consist of Hideki Saito, Mamoru “Mamo Banzai” Anzai (guitarist/vocalist) and Paddy Beirne (drummer/vocalist). Formed in 2019 to play the 10th anniversary gig at Black Dice Café, the singularly stylish Japanese-rockabilly joint on Dundas West in the city. Before too long they were soon playing the iconic Viva Las Vegas “rockabilly weekend” in Las Vegas – and the gig offers kept coming in!
The Ichi-Bons really are fun with their love of the music and the era they evoke in their blazing mixture of rockabilly, surf and twang — which now mingles originals with slyly chosen covers. This isn’t just a gig, it’s a full-blown eruption of energy, music, and madness!
Owner of The Crooked Crow said: ‘We are so excited for the return of Toronto's finest, The Ichi Bons on their UK tour... plus support from The Deltas!’
