Visitors can enjoy three Easter-themed puppet storytelling shows led by Aaron Spendlowe from ‘A Children’s Story’. The shows start at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm, lasting approximately 30 minutes, with no pre-booking needed.
Throughout the day, the Easter Bunny will make special appearances, offering families the perfect photo opportunity between the storytelling sessions.
Children can also take part in Easter-themed craft workshops run by local artist Mary Hearne. From 12-3pm, children will have the chance to create their own Easter headbands to take home (whilst stocks last).
Councillor James Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Inclusive Economy at Luton Council said: “We’re looking forward to bringing ‘Easter at Hat Gardens’ to our favourite pocket park again this year. Building on last year's success with over 40 free events, we remain committed to providing free family activities across Luton town centre in 2025.”
Following the event, visitors are being encouraged to take part in Luton BID's free digital Easter trail. Simply scan the QR code displayed on the sign in Hat Gardens using your phone to participate. The trail runs until Tuesday 22 April.
‘Easter at Hat Gardens’ is funded by the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
