Warwick Youth Speaking competition

Westgate school hosted the Rotary Clubs annual youth speaking competition this week with 21 youngsters in 7 teams debating a range of thought provoking topics.

Subjects included - should we colonise Mars? and is it more important to explore the oceans or space. 

Competitors had done their research and made for an interesting evening. 

Deputy Mayor Cllr Jackie D'Arcy awarded prizes of book tokens donated by Warwick Books. President Dick Dixon praised their efforts and said that learning to speak up would give them an advantage in life.
