The call to worship was led by sisters Ava and Evie McKiness. In the address to the young people Bryce asked the question what makes a good friend? Faithful, trustworthy, loving, loyal, kind and funny were some of their suggestions.
A friend is someone who is always there for you and who understands your needs. In the Bible we read that Jesus is described as Friend who will never leave us and who will always love us. The theme for the reflection was A Season for All Things , using verses from Ecclesiastes chapter 3, read by Andrea Crawford, and the words of the famous Beatles song.
In life we experience sad and happy times, sorrow and joy , war and peace. In all of these situations we can turn to God who promised to be with us even till the end of time. As friends united in faith we can still help bring peace and harmony to our world. The congregational singing was led by Ronald Mackie church organist accompanied by Ian Struthers and Bill Simpson on guitar.
The Junior church members were encouraged to bring a friend to church to take part in their activities.
Next Sunday is a service of praise, all church choirs will be taking part.
