An experienced leader, Mr Rahman joins Shenley Academy from Q3 Academy Langley, where he has spent the last six years leading on standards and behaviour as deputy head. His proven track record in maintaining high standards and promoting a positive school culture has prepared him well for his new role at Shenley Academy.
In the interim, Kerry Solway-Blower will continue as executive headteacher at Shenley Academy. Her leadership will ensure a smooth transition ahead of Mr Rahman’s arrival.
Mr Rahman, incoming headteacher at Shenley Academy, said: “I am deeply honoured, privileged and humbled by the opportunity to serve as the headteacher of Shenley Academy. I am a firm believer in the transformational power of education, and I am excited to serve such a vibrant, diverse and unwavering community.
“My team and I are committed to nurturing an environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential whilst instilling our core values of respect, resilience, and responsibility. I very much look forward to meeting you all soon and building a strong partnership as we shape Shenley’s future together.”
Tom Campbell, CEO of E-ACT, commented: “Mr Rahman is a leader who understands the value of ‘opening doors and opening minds’. His experience and commitment will bring fresh energy to Shenley Academy, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact of his leadership.”
Opportunities for parents, carers, and students to meet Mr Rahman before September will be announced shortly.
