MetFilm School and BIMM Performers College Birmingham set to host educational workshops this summer

MetFilm School and Performers College are set to inspire the next generation of creatives this summer as they host a series of dynamic educational workshops. Taking place at their Birmingham campus, the summer short courses offer immersive experiences in performing arts and filmmaking for young people.

Courses available this summer

The Performers College Summer School is one of the most popular of its kind, offering classes in all performing arts disciplines.

Tuition is given by resident Performers College tutors and leading industry professionals, and will give you an idea of life at a full-time performing arts school. The course culminates in a short demonstration of the week’s work, which is presented to guests at the college on Friday afternoon. Complimentary tickets to the performance are included in the course fee, and the showcase is professionally filmed, with an opportunity to purchase the video.

West End Workshop, Musical Theatre, Singing, Acting for Stage, Screen Acting, Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop/Commercial, and Contemporary Fusion/Lyrical

Young Filmmakers Academy (21 July 2025 - 1 August 2025)

The Young Filmmakers Academy is a two-week non-residential course for 14–17-year-olds. This is a fully immersive course for students who are passionate about film, television, and online media. This course is suitable for beginners; no previous experience is required.
