Birmingham adult mental health service gains ‘Good’ rating in recent CQC report

King's Norton Hospital, a local acute mental health service within Active Care Group based in in Birmingham, is celebrating its Care Quality Commission (CQC) overall rating of 'Good' after its first inspection. King’s Norton Hospital is a state-of-the-art service which supports adults with severe and complex mental health conditions.

Inspectors commended staff at the hospital for their strong understanding of safeguarding protocols and effective use of reflective practices. The report highlighted that leadership at the hospital is engaging, and that they have made improvements to internal systems to enhance service effectiveness. 

The report also confirmed that patients are actively involved in discussions about their care and receive care aligned with best practice standards, including support to engage in healthy lifestyle activities.
