Lyndon School celebrated nationally for 'Making a Difference'

Pearson Bronze Award shines a spotlight on Lyndon’s transformational impact

Lyndon School, part of the Summit Learning Trust, is celebrating national recognition after being named a Bronze Winner in the prestigious 2025 Pearson National Teaching Awards.

The school has been honoured in the category of "Making a Difference – Secondary School of the Year", a reflection of the school’s unwavering commitment to changing lives through education and creating lasting impact for learners, staff members, and the wider community.

This year saw an exceptional number of entries from across the UK, and Lyndon stood out for its inclusive ethos, innovative teaching practices, and deeply embedded culture of support and aspiration.

The award recognises not only academic success but also the school’s wider work in supporting learner wellbeing, community engagement, and professional collaboration. Judges praised Lyndon for its holistic approach to education and for serving as an inspiring example to others in the sector.

The Pearson National Teaching Awards, founded in 1998 by Lord Puttnam, celebrate excellence in education and highlight the vital role teachers and schools play in shaping future generations.

Celebrations are taking place on June 18, National Thank a Teacher Day, when the award will be formally recognised as part of the UK-wide celebrations.
