The label’s first signing has been officially announced today: Lydons, an electrifying band hailing from the Black Country. Comprising Finlee, Reef, Dylan, Joshua, and Sonny, the band has already made waves with their energetic live performances, a dedicated fanbase, and a socially conscious ethos.

Monaghan, a multi-platinum award-winning producer and two-time BMA Producer and Studio of the Year winner (2019, 2022), expressed his excitement about the signing:

“I’m only signing artists that make my jaw drop. When I saw Lydons, mine was on the floor! After hearing their track in the studio, I knew we had to put a record out together. I imagine Chris Blackwell must have felt the same when he first heard Bob Marley and the Wailers.”

Despite not yet releasing any material, Lydons have already sold out shows across the Midlands, built a four-figure social media following, and racked up TikTok views in the tens of thousands. Their distinctive sound and relentless work ethic have drawn comparisons to some of the most exciting names in modern music.

Monaghan further praised the band, adding:

“Lydons are the real deal. They bring a refreshing old-school attitude—hard work, dedication, and unbelievably catchy songs. They’re also incredibly socially aware and are working alongside the Man Down charity, which tackles the serious issue of male depression. If everything aligns, they could go as far as they want.”

Magic Garden Recordings and Lydons are thrilled to confirm this partnership and tease the imminent arrival of the band’s first single.

In the meantime, fans can catch Lydons live at their hometown headline show at The River Rooms in Stourbridge on 17th April 2025 (Doors: 7:30 PM – 2 AM).
