Kieren Marston, who works for housebuilder Persimmon Homes based at Birmingham Business Park, competed in the Ultra White Collar Boxing Match – an annual event that has been running since 1988 and has raised over £40 million for charity.
Following eight weeks of intense training, Kieren took to the ring winning his fight and raising £1,310 for his chosen charity.
Commenting on the event, Kieren said: “I took part in this fight for my Grandparents. My Nan sadly passed away from cancer in 2023 and my grandad now has his own fight having since being diagnosed with cancer. My grandad came to the event and watched ringside, so I’m glad I got the chance to make him proud.
I just wanted to help a charity that is spending millions on research, to try and find cures for this horrible disease that too many people are suffering from.”
