The event which took place at the iconic Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds on the outskirts of London raised more than £24,000 for the Birmingham-founded Get A-Head Charitable Trust.

Get A-Head helps support people across England and Wales suffering from head and neck diseases, particularly cancer, and last year celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The sun-soaked event attracted shooting teams from across the country and brought together a stellar line-up of guests, including TV’s Made in Chelsea stars Tristan Phipps and Julia Pollard, and influential financier and social media personality, Jordan Rigby.

Get A-Head director, Danni Heath, described the day as an incredible success both on and off the shooting stands.

“It was truly inspiring to see so many familiar faces and new supporters come together to champion our cause,” said Danni.

“The energy on the day was infectious, we were blessed with great weather, a competitive spirit, and, above all, extraordinary generosity.”

The day began with a welcome and briefing, followed by an exciting morning of clay shooting across the legendary grounds, with stands designed to test skill and precision.

Elevenses, on-the-spot fundraising challenges and a live auction added to the day’s success before guests were treated to a drinks reception and a gourmet lunch in the lodge.

The post-lunch speeches highlighted both the purpose and achievements of Get A-Head, which has raised more than £10 million across its 30-year history to fund research, equipment, and support services for those living with head and neck diseases.

Guests heard the heartfelt stories of individuals whose lives have been directly impacted by the charity’s work.

The afternoon highlights also included a Q&A session with Tom and Alex, both of whom have recently retired as professional rugby players, on their experiences and life after the sport.

Danni added: “I cannot thank everyone enough for their support, from our fantastic sponsors to every single attendee.

“These funds will allow us to continue funding research, purchasing equipment, and providing life-changing support for those facing head and neck diseases. Seeing the generosity on display reminds us why we do what we do.”

The event, organised by Wilde & Glorious, received support from sponsors, including Coventry-based businesses Bromwich Hardy, Wigley Investment Holdings Ltd and CEF, Warwick-based EHB Residential, and Rosconn in Stratford upon Avon.
