In stores now until Sunday, Birds Bakery customers can enjoy the Marble Ring Doughnut – a light, fluffy doughnut dipped in glossy chocolate and marbled white fondant.
Described as “a true showstopper,” the Marble Ring has been months in the making by Birds’ expert bakers and is the perfect pick-me-up for an afternoon treat. Even the cupcakes are getting a makeover, now topped with miniature chocolate doughnuts.
To mark the week-long celebration, Birds will donate 20p from every Marble Ring Doughnut sold, along with 20p from its core range, including the caramel, cream, and jam doughnuts, to The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury.
Jamie Bird, joint managing director at Birds Bakery, said: “National Doughnut Week is one of our favourite dates in the calendar. Not only is it a great excuse to launch a new doughnut, but it also supports a charity that’s very close to our hearts.
“We’ve been working with The Children’s Trust for over 20 years and have raised over £130,000 to date. The Marble Ring Doughnut is something special, and we can’t wait for our customers to try it. Every purchase really does make a difference.”
