Nicco Restaurant & Bar, based at Pride Park, which is famed for its unique bottomless brunches, will hold the Taylor Swift-inspired event on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Co-owner Bhav Kumar, who runs the Indian fusion restaurant alongside husband Sanj Kumar, said: "We’ve been inspired by the dedicated Derby fans of this global icon and wanted to celebrate with them in a ‘Taylor-made’ schools out for summer event.”
The event, which will run from 1.00pm until 4.00pm, will kick off summer in style with a Taylor Swift Tribute act, dancing, Taylor Swift-inspired merchandise and activities and a menu option that will tap into true Swifties’ wildest dreams.
Bhav said: “We are always trying to be inventive and offer new concepts to our clientele. As a family run business, we wanted to embrace the Taylor Swift phenomenon alongside our family values, which is why this event is aimed at parents and their children who can come along and share a fun experience, strengthening their bond.”
Nicco Restaurant & Bar has been offering its themed brunches for over four years and, in that time, has served over 10,000 customers at these unique events. Past themed events have included tributes to ABBA, Beyonce, and even a Last Days of Summer: Ibiza Soiree, but this will be the first time it has hosted a Taylor Swift event.
Bhav said: “Nicco has become famous for its brunches so what better way to celebrate the end of school and the start of the summer holidays than with a tribute to an inspirational icon and exquisite food?”
Just like one of Taylor’s shows, the event will be spectacular. Complementing the backdrop of Nicco’s beautiful interior design, the venue will be professionally Swiftie-fied by RS Events & Lifestyle, creating maximum ‘pink power’ impact that will be full of dazzle and sparkle.
Guests to this wonderland are encouraged to dress to impress. They will also have the opportunity to add even more glamour at the pop-up shop, where iconic handmade bracelets will be on sale alongside Taylor t-shirts, flashing lights and freeze-dried candy.
There is a tattoo and glitter station and even the chance to join fellow Swifties for a meet and greet after the show.
Super fans can also enjoy a set menu that will be chosen specifically for the event. The choices are being kept under wraps for now as chefs create a one-of-a-kind menu. However, they have hinted at their intention of introducing diners to their ‘culinary fine dining era’.
The eatery, which serves around 2,500 customers each week, takes inspiration for its menus from the family's passion for travel, adventure and the finest quality ingredients while staying true to the restaurant's core Indian roots. But, of course, this particular menu will have extra sparkle.
The Taylor Swift tribute experience features Kaylie Malone Tribute to Taylor Swift. Those ‘swift’ enough to book before Saturday, May 31, will be eligible for a tailored price of £5 entry for adults and children. Following this date, tickets are £10 for admission to the event.
In line with the venue’s previous events, limited availability tickets have been known to sell out within a matter of days. Any Swift fans disappointed if they miss out on the Derby event may not be able to ‘shake it off’.
Prices for the Taylor-inspired three course set menu meal are £25 per person for adults and £15 per person for children.
Bhav, taking inspiration from Taylor herself, added: “We are looking forward to welcoming fans on Sunday, June 22. Come along, just be yourself, there is no one better and no better venue in Derby to enjoy a Taylor Swift-dedicated event.”
