Operations Manager - Belmont Hotel, Leicester:
James began his career managing the operations of his family-run business, which has been at the heart of Leicester's hospitality scene for over 80 years.
Deputy General Manager - Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa, Daventry:
As a key leader at this prestigious Hand Picked Hotel, James oversaw day-to-day operations during an extensive £6 million refurbishment. His role also included orchestrating high-profile events such as helicopter arrivals for the Silverstone Grand Prix.
General Manager - Barnsdale Lodge Hotel & Retreats:
Situated next to the picturesque Rutland Water, James successfully delivered weddings and events on the stunning Gainsborough estate, while also overseeing the hotel and its collection of luxury retreats.
Hotel Manager - Ragdale Hall Spa:
At this renowned spa resort, James was responsible for multiple operational teams, ensuring the highest standards of guest experience across bar, reception, porter, kitchen, restaurant, and night teams.

The appointment comes as The Priest House Hotel continues its redevelopment under The Brook Group, which acquired the business in 2022. Under James’s leadership, exciting plans are in motion, including a brand-new restaurant concept, the introduction of luxury woodland lodges (previously consented), and new proposed amenities and sporting facilities designed to benefit the local community, subject to planning.
