Michael and Craig sleep out for charity

Michael Gough and Craig Timmins, two friends from Bloxwich, organised a "Sleep In The Stands" event at Walsall FC, where they were joined by over 20 friends who all braved the cold weather and high winds to raise money for local foodbanks and Mind charity.

Local businesses around the area all sponsored the event to help raise as much as possible, these included Tile Choice, CTS Fitness, Cresswell Wanderers FC, Walsh Memorial, Perkin Plastering, and Pallet-Track.

The target is set at £5k and the team are not far off that, where every penny will be donated. "It's just nice to know the money raised will go to families who will be able to have food to eat in the winter period, no family should decide food or warmth but they do." a spokesperson said.

Foodbanks they are supporting are Black Country Foodbank, Bloxwich & Blakenall Foodbank, and St Peter's Foodbank.
