Fair chance to get to grips with local history

Discover the rich history of Wolverhampton and beyond at an annual history fair featuring the fascinating stories, people and events that have shaped the area.

Cakes galore to keep history fans sweet at the local history fair being held at Wolverhampton Archives’ Molineux Hotel Building.

The Local History Fair returns to Wolverhampton Archives' Molineux Hotel Building on Saturday, 23 November from 10am-4pm.

For a small admission charge people will be able to see display by local history, genealogy and community groups as well the beautiful interior of the listed archives building.

The Friends of The Archives, who meet at the archives and help to add to archive collections, materials and equipment will be exhibiting and providing cakes, rolls, teas and coffees in The Wrekin View Tea Room.

Throughout the building Midland Ancestors, The Black Country Society, Archaeology In Mind, Museum of Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire, The West Midlands Police Museum, The Western Front Association, Wednesfield History Society, Wolverhampton Archaeology Group and others will be exhibiting and answering questions.
