Community support and wellbeing project branching out to Langley Mill

A community-focused organisation dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of the local community is opening a new branch in Langley Mill.

Inifinite Wellbeing is opening a new site in Langley Mill.

Infinite Wellbeing CIC started up in Heanor a year ago and provides a wide range of services, including mental health support, educational programmes, wraparound childcare, youth activities, and community events, with a special focus on using physical activity, enrichment activities, music and other positive interventions to steer young people away from anti-social behaviour.

Since its inception, Infinite Wellbeing has become a vital hub for the Heanor community, offering a wide range of services including a community centre, café, treatment rooms, youth activities and enrichment workshops.

Building on this success, the new Langley Mill location aims to extend these benefits to a broader audience, particularly in areas experiencing challenges related to ASB.

In line with its commitment to supporting young people, Infinite Wellbeing says it will be introducing a new youth offer, led by young people, in Langley Mill, to run alongside their current offerings in Heanor.

This service is designed to offer a constructive and supportive space for young people to develop social and life skills, engage in positive activities, and access essential resources.

The organisation will also launch an alternative provision programme, a specialised educational service that caters to students of all ages, who may need additional support outside of mainstream education.

The programme will provide tailored learning opportunities aimed at fostering academic success, personal growth, and social development in

a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Infinite Wellbeing’s holistic approach, which includes support for both individuals and the community as a whole, has been pivotal in its success in Heanor.

The organisation is confident that Langley Mill will yield similar positive outcomes.

Rebecca Patrick, managing director, said: “Infinite Wellbeing believes that providing a positive environment and engaging activities is key to

reducing such issues and fostering a stronger, more connected community.

“We’re thrilled to be expanding our services to Langley Mill and are committed to making a positive impact in the community.

"Our goal is to create safe and supportive spaces where everyone feels welcome and we look forward to seeing the positive changes that our programmes will bring to the area.”
