'Painting Brings Out The Best In Me' is an exhibition by The Monday Art Club, a small community art group based in Broxtowe set up by Borough-based artist Janet Shipton.
It will be open from Thursday April 18 at the museum, on Victoria Street, in its dedicated gallery space.
The group, which is made up of all experiences and abilities, meet regularly on a Monday afternoon to draw and paint. The group provides a relaxed space for sharing creative ideas, good company and tea and cake!
Janet said: “As an artist, I see first-hand the impact that being involved in creative activity like drawing and painting can have on people.
"Whether that’s boosting their confidence, helping them to relax or giving them a place they can be with others.
"At the end of our Monday Art Club sessions, the group often comments how much better they feel from taking the time out to paint and the exhibition really shows off their talents and will hopefully inspire others to give it a try!”

The DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum is where this literary legend was born on September 11, 1885.
The museum is a must see for fans of literature, and for those wanting to delve deeper into Nottingham’s literary heritage.
Step back in time to experience the traditional Victorian wash house, see the parlour, a room only for special guests, feel the warmth of the fire in the kitchen and have a wander around the parental and other bedrooms.
The museum’s permanent exhibition features items from Lawrence’s family and even paintings created by the author himself.
