The proposals have been mutually agreed following discussions with the local highways authority and Trent Barton Buses, with the aim of ‘reducing traffic congestion while ensuring bus services for the community and schools can continue with minimal disruption’.
The new phase will begin on Monday, September 16.
During that time, Main Street and Nottingham Road will be closed between Greens Lane and Broomhill Road.
The one-way closures on Newdigate Street and Newdigate Road will be in the direction from Main Street to Main Road.
A diversion route will run along Main Street, Eastwood Road, Gilt Hill, the A610, Nottingham Road, Kimberley Road and Nottingham Road.
