Three more arrested following Eastwood street fight

Detectives investigating a fight in Eastwood where weapons were wielded, have made three further arrests.

Police have arrested three more suspects in connection with an Eastwood fight in which weapons were brandished.

Officers were called shortly before 3.30pm on Friday, April 19 to reports of an altercation involving a group of men in Plumptre Way.

Extensive area searches were carried out to trace those involved.

A 21-year-old man, who needed hospital treatment for an injury to his hand during the incident, was arrested later that day on suspicion of affray.

He was subsequently released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

Following inquiries three more suspects, aged 23, 23, and 24, have now been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This incident took place in broad daylight and will have been seen by a number of people.

“We’ve now arrested three more suspects in connection with our ongoing investigation and I hope people living in the area are reassured by our robust response to this incident.

“As a force we remain determined to drive down violence and weapon-enabled crime in our communities and the public’s continued support is key to helping us to achieve our goal.

"While we have made further arrests, we would still like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage which could assist us with our ongoing investigation.”
