Put into bat, Kimberley made an imposing 275-9 in their 50 overs.
Opener Akhil Patel smashed 15 fours and three sixes in his 107 with backing from Harry Burnhill (38) Oliver Tewatiya (35) and George Scottorn (24no).
Welbeck then failed to keep up with the pace of the chase as they were all out for 148 in 41.4 overs.
Ben Bowring stood firm with 52 but others struggled as Alex King took 4-31 and New Zealander Tewatiya 3-28.
Kimberley captain Alex King said: “We were very disappointed to lose the first game the way we did on the last ball, having prepared so well – we couldn't have prepared any better.
“So it was good to bounce straight back with a really strong performance against a good Welbeck side.
"We were very pleased.
“We always expect to score plenty of runs at home and Akhil Patel set us up nicely with his performance.
“We knew then that if we bowled pretty well it would be a tough chase for them - and that's how it turned out.”
Kimberley head for Wollaton this Saturday, the home side having lost their opening two fixtures.
Kimberley’s seconds did even better, winning by 246 runs against Radcliffe-on-Trent. Josh Ruthven scored 107 of their matchwinning 350-6 runs total.
