Eastwood pub celebrates first anniversay of it's popular weekly quiz night

Eastwood pub The Lady Chatterley is celebrating as it marks the one-year milestone of its beloved weekly quiz.

The Lady Chatterley is celebrating a year of its popular monthly quiz nights.

Since kicking off in April 2023 this midweek tradition has been a hit among locals, drawing crowds of eager trivia buffs every Wednesday at 7pm.

Leading the charge is local actor and presenter, Thomas Levi, who also works part time at the pub, doubling up as the quiz master extraordinaire.

With his infections energy and quick wit, Levi has turned the quiz night at the JD Wetherspoons-owned pub on Nottingham Road into a must-attend event, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among regular teams.

A themed quiz is held on the last Wednesday of every month with topics from Disney magic to Harry Potter spells, or most recently the sitcom Friends.

And with an 80’s-inspired quiz lined up for April 24 and a nod to the 90’s on May 29, the excitement shows no signs of slowing down.

Thomas said: “It’s been amazing to witness and it’s all for a good cause too.

"Thanks to the quiz’s free entry policy, donations to Wetherspoons' preferred charity CLIC Sargent have seen a significant boost.

But Thomas isn’t just a quiz master — he’s also a contestant in his own right.

Locals were thrilled to learn that he recently put his general knowledge to the test on an episode of ITV’s flagship quiz show, The Chase.

The quiz night success has continued to confirm The Lady Chatterley  as more than just a place for a pint.

With charity coffee mornings on Sundays and a thriving dart and dominoes team, it’s a true hub of community spirit.

Thomas added: "If you’re looking for a bit of fun and friendly competition, be sure to stop by and join in with The Lady Chatterley’s weekly quiz night."
