End the year in fine style with Sinfonia Viva's annual bash

Sinfonia Viva's New Year's Eve Gala is back this year, to the delight of classical music fans across the area.

Sinfonia VIva's New Year's Eve Gala concert is back for its 27th year.

Taking place at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on December 31 from 6pm, end the year on a high note with Sinfonia Viva’s 27th annual New Year’s Eve Gala.

Always a popular event for music lovers of all ages, this year’s extravaganza will again be conducted by audience favourite Nicholas Kok.

To celebrate 100 years since the birth of television, the concert will be packed full of familiar music from iconic TV shows and adverts.

From old favourites including Verdi’s Force of Destiny Overture (the Stella Artois advert) to gorgeous soundtracks from shows including Downton Abbey, the evening promises a delightful mix of nostalgia and celebration. The orchestra will even play the Liberty Bell March (Monty Python’s Flying Circus) to get your tapping.
