While visiting patients in their homes to provide eye tests and audiology services, the team delivered the sweet treats to go above and beyond for members of the community.

Laura Owens, partner at the Specsavers Home Visits team, also attended the Midlothian Disabled People’s Assembly Directory Launch event to further greet members of the community to discuss how their services are there to support people living with a disability.

The event, which was located at St John’s & King’s Park Church, saw visitors speaking to Laura about the service, as well as enjoying more chocolatey snacks from the team.

Laura Owens, director at Specsavers Home Visits service which covers Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders, says: ‘When visiting our patients for routine eye checks and hearing services, we strive to ensure that they’re comfortable and have everything they need – even if it’s helping them with things such as shopping and home errands.

‘We understand that it’s little things like these that can make someone’s day, so this Easter we wanted to go the extra mile and share some sweet goodies to brighten up their day across the Easter break.

‘It was also fantastic to join the Midlothian Disabled People’s Assembly for another brilliant event. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat and a chocolate!’
