Originally built as Glasgow’s City Parish Hall, the building has stood as a silent witness to over a century of civic life, community gatherings and historic milestones. Its architectural grandeur, from vaulted ceilings to intricate stonework, tells a story of a city rich in character. Now, after years of dormancy, a passionate and visionary team is breathing new life into its foundations - not simply restoring it, but reimagining it for a new generation of memories

This Grade A listed building is being thoughtfully reimagined as a space for unforgettable celebrations, elegant weddings and high-impact events. With soaring ceilings, a dramatic glass-roofed courtyard and a prime location just off George Square, The Collector’s Hall blends Glasgow’s rich heritage with modern luxury.

“I know it looks unfinished now, but I want you to close your eyes and imagine the music, the laughter, the vows, the most iconic event” says presenter Jean Johansson, standing under the towering central dome.

Throughout the video, Jean, Jennifer and Gordon each reflect on the venue’s transformation, walking through dust-filled beams, construction work and the soon-to-be signature courtyard, while sharing the vision behind a space designed to host everything from intimate dinners to world-class conferences and unforgettable wedding days.

Craig Munro, General Manager of AC by Marriott Glasgow, explains

“The Collector’s Hall is about legacy. We’re building something that doesn’t just serve today’s needs but inspires future generations of celebration, connection and creativity. This first glimpse is only the beginning.”

As the anticipation builds, this cinematic teaser acts as the first invitation into a venue set to become a new cultural icon for the city. Elegant, ambitious and unapologetically Glaswegian, The Collector’s Hall is ready to raise the bar.
