Growth Plans Are Krystal Clear as accountants expand team

A Hale-based accountancy firm is celebrating another year of strong growth with new hires and a commitment to developing future talent. Krystal Clear Accounting, led by Kim Marlor and David Swarbrick, has continued its impressive expansion, growing its retained income by over 20% for consecutive years — and it’s on track to exceed that once again in 2025.

To support this growth, the firm has strengthened its team and continued to invest in developing the next generation of accountants.

The most recent addition to the team is Yulia Micallef, a highly experienced Management Accountant who holds an MBA, is part-qualified with ACCA, and is also a Chartered Manager (CMI).

Yulia brings valuable strategic and commercial insight to the firm’s advisory and app-based accounting services, working closely with Kim and David to support a growing and ambitious client base.

"Yulia’s appointment is a key part of our growth strategy," said Kim.

"Her strong commercial background and proactive approach make her a fantastic asset to our team and to our clients."

Krystal Clear is also investing in future talent through partnerships with local colleges. Kim recently gave a guest talk to T-Level Accountancy students at Trafford College, offering insight into real-world accountancy in practice.

As part of this initiative, the firm has just welcomed two placement students, and is expecting to offer them permanent roles after they successfully complete their studies in 2026.

"It’s tough to find skilled professionals who are passionate about the industry," Kim added.

"That’s why we’re focused on nurturing our own talent — offering students real experience and, hopefully, a future with us."

Recruiting for growth

To further support its expanding client base, Krystal Clear is now recruiting for a Client Manager/Accounts Production specialist — a key role designed to meet increasing demand and ensure continued high standards of service delivery.

As businesses continue to face economic uncertainty, Krystal Clear remains focused on helping entrepreneurs scale, adapt, and succeed — whether that means helping clients generate cash, increase profitability or planning for long-term growth.

"The message is clear: in an uncertain climate, you can’t afford to stand still," Kim concluded.

"We’re here to help business owners make confident, informed decisions that drive results."
