Truffle Burger signs Chomp to launch international gastro pop-ups on the South Bank

W’s newest agency tasked with generating trending social media buzz and click-worthy headlines for new foodie series: Truffle Burger & Friends.

Truffle Burger, London’s cult-favourite burger joint, has appointed specialist hospitality growth engine  Chomp to amplify its brand new summer series of international foodie pop-ups, taking place at London’s South Bank.

Chomp, which was launched last week, is a disruptive new restaurant growth agency that puts digital-first communications at the heart of hospitality marketing. With a focus on four key areas; TikTok-driven discovery, booking platform optimisation, automation in hospitality marketing, and direct investment in restaurant growth, Chomp offers a data-led, performance-driven approach designed to deliver real-world revenue.

The agency will head up a high-level PR push, as well as organic influencer engagement across TikTok and Instagram, to drive hype and footfall around the exciting summer series – which will give viral restaurants from around the globe an exclusive opportunity to make an impact in the UK. 

The collab follows a 2024 campaign, in which Truffle partnered with the iconic New York food brand,  7th Street Burger in London for the first time. The tie-up saw Londoners and tourists queuing around the streets of Soho and was a sold-out success – taking over Truffle’s flagship restaurant, attracting serious attention and prompting viral social media content.

This year, the team take the pop-up series to London’s sunny South Bank, with prime real estate between the iconic skate park and London Eye. Kicking off the series will be  Charles Pan Fried Chicken, a Harlem institution with a cult following, synonymous with soulful southern American comfort food. 

Other names in the lineup include:

  • Homer Lobster – serving the world's best lobster rolls straight from France
  • Forsyth Fire Escape – an iconic New York burrito brand born in the Covid-19 lockdown
  • Nixta Taqueria – the home of Mexican-American cuisine from Austin Texas 
  • Bodega Truck – NYC’s first and only specialty chopped cheese food truck
  • Utopia Bagels – handmade bagels straight from Queens, NYC

The pop-up series will run from Friday 2nd May until Sunday 21st September, with more cult-status brands to be announced throughout the summer. The campaign has huge potential to drive viral hype and content, across social media and online, while Chomp will also support with its best-in-class knowledge of the media, and strong black book of influencer contacts. 

The win is the second big announcement for Chomp, head up by W Communications’ Account Directors, Kara Buffrey and Thuli Weerasena. Chomp launched just last week, after being appointed by Harry’s Dolce Vita to oversee its latest opening in King’s Cross.
