To meet the moment, Wembley Park - named in ‘Best Places to Live 2025’ by The Sunday Times - presents Summer Rocks, a new seasonal programme featuring over 200 hours of live events and public art. open to everyone and free of charge.
Curated by Wembley Park’s culture team, the programme spans live music, stunning new artworks, wellness events, markets, and family activities — making world-class art and culture accessible to all.
MUSIC ROCKS
Starting in June, Wembley Park Sessions brings open-air performances to its tree-lined boulevards, celebrating 10 years of Busk in London - the Mayor of London-backed programme that gives emerging artists a stage. Wembley Park has proudly supported Busk in London from its earliest days, and this summer’s weekend sessions will highlight some of its most exciting talent.
On 13 July, Wembley Park marks the 40th anniversary of one of the most iconic concerts of all time with Live Aid 40: A Wembley Park Tribute - a free, public outdoor screening of the 1985 event, enhanced by live musicians and talks. This day-long event will bring together music fans from across London and beyond.
For those without tickets to Coldplay or Lana Del Rey’s sold-out shows, Wembley Park is offering two special, free orchestral concerts on its open-air Sound Shell stage, under the arch of the national stadium on iconic Olympic Way. Performed by the City String Ensemble, Lana Del Rey: The String Sessions (1 July) reimagines Lana’s soundscapes, while Coldplay: The String Sessions (6 August) brings Coldplay’s anthems to life through sweeping arrangements. Originally formed at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the London City Ensemble is the creative force behind London’s celebrated candlelight concerts.
ART IN EVERY CORNER
This summer, Wembley Park expands its renowned outdoor art trail with bold new works across the neighbourhood. Following the viral success of the Swiftie Steps last year — unveiled by the Mayor of London and shared globally by fans — new large-scale murals will celebrate the music and imagery of Coldplay, Oasis and Lana Del Rey, turning the Spanish Steps into a rotating cultural landmark. Over in the newly opened Union Park, a dramatic 70-metre panoramic artwork by celebrated artist AlecLDN will become the centrepiece of the green space, overlooking an extensive pond complete with sun loungers. And from 14 June, Art in the Park invites residents and visitors alike to join free life drawing classes across the summer led by celebrated artist Laxmi Hussain, taking place at Samovar Space in the heart of Wembley Park.
