HM King Charles congratulates Bromley Scout Group

The 6th Mottingham Scout Group closed just before Covid. Due to demand from children and young people they have re-opened to inspire even more young people to dream big, have unmissable experiences, make friends and learn new skills. They have opened Beaver Scouts (6–8-year-olds), Cub Scouts (8–10-year-olds), Scouts (10–13-year-olds) and last week at a special ceremony welcomed 4 adult volunteers and 20 young people into the new Scout Group.

The children and young people are taking part in activities and adventures, encouraged to ask the bigger questions, think on their feet, be part of a team and always have a plan B up their sleeves. The Scouts, bring people together and build stronger communities. But most of all, they help young people see that anything’s possible.

In a recent poll 94% of Scouts said they had developed useful skills. 88% said they’ve tried activities they haven’t tried before. Scouts offers over two hundred activities from abseiling and coding to drama and water-zorbing.

HM King Charles (Patron of The Scout Association) said ‘’Please convey my sincere thanks to the Members of the 6th Mottingham Scout Group for their loyal greetings, sent on the occasion of the re-opening of the Group.
