This Global Entrepreneurship Week – November 18 to 22 – NatWest is hosting a series of events and coaching session for entrepreneurs.
NatWest recently hosted a Business Masterclass event in collaboration with Dragon’s Den star, Theo Paphitis. Aimed at entrepreneurs and leaders from businesses of all sizes, the event provided an opportunity to gain transformative insights from the best in business.
The London Accelerator Hub in Bishopsgate hosted more than 250 business leaders at the event, which included a Q&A session with Will Turner, CEO & Co-Founder of GoJoe, and an inspiring business masterclass from Theo Paphitis, British entrepreneur, and television personality.
The masterclass saw Theo share his top business tips for leaders, covering topics such as visionary thinking, and pitching best practices. Resiliency was a key theme throughout the event, with the discussion emphasising the importance of maintaining passion and resilience to withstand inevitable business challenges. Paphitis’ also covered advise on navigating the journey to securing business funding, as well as how to leverage personality through brand authenticity that will resonate with the end customer.
Speaking about the event, Ajit Barik, Entrepreneur and Founder of Wyzr, a fintech business, said: "Theo’s razor-sharp wit and keen sense of humour drew me in from the start. The lessons on resilience and the importance of taking calculated risks as an entrepreneur could not have been delivered better—it was truly a masterclass from the Dragon himself!"
Another entrepreneur who attended the event, Natalie Semmes, CEO of Elfkare, said: “My two key takeaways from Theo Paphitis’ masterclass are: the importance of a founder's work ethic, resilience, passion, active listening, and open-mindedness, and two, that innovation doesn't always require original ideas. His best ventures started from existing ideas—he just found ways to make them better.”
As the UK’s biggest bank for business, NatWest regularly hosts events, webinars, and coaching sessions for entrepreneurs through its Accelerator programme. The bank is supporting Global Entrepreneurship Week – November 18 to 22 – with an event series to help business leaders at various stages in their business development.
These events, which are taking place at Accelerator hubs across the country, will cover topics such as attracting investment and connecting with customers as well as providing advice on navigating the complexities of scaling a business.
NatWest Accelerator Community Manager, Luke Pamflett, led the Theo Paphitis, and is planning a variety of future events for London business founders.
Speaking about his work, Luke said: “We work year-round to support businesses across London at our Accelerator Hub and want to inspire more entrepreneurs to get involved this Global Entrepreneurship Week. We’re here to help local business founders looking to scale their company to the next level, and can offer a variety of support depending on their needs – from one-to-one coaching, to networking events, to full-time use of a modern co-working space.
"We’d encourage any founders looking to grow their business to come along to one of these events to meet like-minded entrepreneurs, network, learn, and be inspired.”
Entrepreneurs looking to grow and scale their businesses are encouraged to register their interest for the March cohort of NatWest's Entrepreneur Accelerator.
