With a stellar cast featuring Nell Tiger Free (The First Omen) in her stage debut and Kedar Williams-Stirling (Sex Education), Thanks for Having Me follows the lives of two mismatched housemates navigating the chaos of breakups, casual dating, and self-discovery. Rounding out the cast are Adeyinka Akinrinade (Riches) and writer-performer Keelan Kember, whose witty and sharp script brings the play’s hilarious yet poignant moments to life.
Speaking about the show, writer Keelan Kember shared, “I think that at some point in their life, many people will have been, or will in the future be, similar to one of these four characters. They each represent a different take on dating that is reflective of modern life and being a young person. So anyone who is single, I think, will enjoy seeing themselves reflected in some sense in the piece, and hopefully find it truthful or cathartic, and anyone who isn’t single will thank their lucky stars that they managed to get out alive.”
Directed by Monica Cox, Thanks for Having Me will run at Riverside Studios, Studio 2 MAIN HOUSE from April 7 to 26, with a special press night on April 9 at 7.30pm.
Following a successful short run at the King’s Head Theatre earlier this year, anticipation is high for the show’s arrival at Riverside Studios, a venue with a rich history of showcasing innovative new work.
