Aiming to change the conversation, Daisy Morris, social media strategist, author, TedX speaker and founder of The Selfhood, will be hosting an event in London to bring like-minded individuals together to share experiences, break down stigmas, and explore how we can cultivate stronger, more supportive creative networks.
In partnership with Ok Mentor, a non-profit organisation bringing free mentoring to creatives, the event will be hosted on 29th May 2025 in London.
Expect insightful discussions and activities, practical tools for combating isolation, and the chance to connect with others who truly understand the highs and lows of the creative process.
Tickets for the event as well as further details can be found here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/lonely-same-finding-and-building-community-so-you-can-thrive-on-your-own-tickets-1360459423759
Katie Hunter, CEO at Ok Mentor, comments: “We’re really looking forward to bringing together creatives to discuss the realities of loneliness in the creative industry, and we’re thrilled to have Daisy onboard to guide us through the evening.
“The creative industry can be seen as isolating for many reasons, from competitiveness to trying to break into the industry. In reality, it’s all about collaboration and community and, at Ok Mentor, we’re forever championing the importance of building up a network of support, whether that’s with peers or those at different stages in their career. We hope that everyone attending will leave having connected with others in a similar position.”
