Pegasus Group announces raft of senior hires to environmental practice

Leading multidisciplinary development consultancy, Pegasus Group, has today announced a number of new hires to its environmental practice, including the high-profile appointment of David Webster as Landscape Director in its London office.

David Webster, Landscape Director

Previously at the global design and engineering firm, Stantec, David will lead an expansion of Pegasus’ environmental practice in the South East. Due to the growing demand for work relating to the release of green belt land for renewable energy projects and residential development in the region, Pegasus will look to triple the size of the team in London.

Having worked on a number of notable projects, including one of the UK’s first planning appeals for a grey belt site, David brings a wealth of experience to the role and will be working closely with Andrew Cook (Executive Director of Environment) to align the team’s expansion with the work being undertaken by developers in the region.

Since the beginning of the year, Pegasus has announced 20 new appointments across London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Lichfield, Edinburgh and Manchester to bolster its environmental service line, expand skill specialisms within the team and accommodate the increasing book of work. The new senior recruits include:

  • Associate Landscape Architects Peter Koch (Bristol), Steven Wood (Cambridge), Howard Stannard (Leeds), and Lee-Anne Van Wyk (Lichfield).
  • Principal Landscape Architect: Lewis Reynolds (London).
  • Landscape Architects Pooja Kutty (Birmingham), Annie Taylor (Bristol), and Roxana Karam (Edinburgh).

Commenting on the appointment, Executive Director of Environment, Andrew Cook, said: “We are thrilled to welcome David to Pegasus Group and look forward to seeing our London environmental team grow under his direction. Since the beginning of this year, the environmental team has seen substantial growth in different geographic regions and across wide areas of expertise. It’s tremendous to welcome so many talented individuals to the team and as we grow on all fronts, it is fantastic to have another stellar addition in the London office.”

Also commenting on his move, David Webster, said: “Pegasus Group is a well-respected player in the market and one I have always admired. There’s a lot of work in the South East, particularly around the edge of London, and I’m delighted to be leading the team during this time of booming growth.”
