Standing at a petite 5ft1, the shortest star on the list is Ariana Grande, who will appear in part two of the blockbuster film adaptation, Wicked: For Good.
Florence Pugh, who takes the leading role in the hotly anticipated release of Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, comes in next at 5ft4.
At 5ft5 Lindsay Lohan, who is set to star in the sequel to the noughties hit, Freakier Friday, measures in two inches above the global average height for women.
The research, which was conducted by mynametags.com, found Zoe Saldana, star of Avatar: Fire and Ash, is 5ft7.
Tom Cruise, who will be returning to cinema screens this summer with the final film in the Mission Impossible series also stands at 5ft7, making him the shortest actor on the list.
Both Andrew Garfield and Timothe Chalamet measure in at 5ft10. The leading men will return to screens this year as Garfield stars in Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt and Chalamet plays the lead in the sports drama Marty Supreme.
Meanwhile, Hollywood heavyweight Brad Pitt, who is set to star in hotly anticipated racing drama, F1, stands at 5ft11, two inches taller than the average American man.
Allison Janney, set to star in the remake of The Roses, is the tallest actress on the list at 6ft.
Towering at 6ft2 and the tallest name on this year’s list is Gerard Butler who will star in the live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon.
