Open Banking Expo is the only exhibition in the country dedicated to the Open Banking and Open Finance market and has become central to the high-growth industry.
Founded in 2018, the event has gone from strength to strength, demonstrated by the shortlisting in the Best Development of an Existing Conference / Event (up to 1,200 Attendees) category.
Specifically, the nomination recognises the 2024 edition as a major leap forward for the Expo, which expanded into a larger venue and introduced new features, including the Open Finance Show and Smart Data Show.
Held at the Business Design Centre in London, last year’s event saw a 17% rise in unique attendees and a 25% increase in two-day participation – confirming its importance to the Open Banking and Open Finance sectors.

Now firmly established as the UK’s leading event for Open Banking and Open Finance, the 2024 Expo welcomed 1,118 attendees, 167 speakers, and 48 exhibitors, including major banks, fintechs, and regulators.
Such is the significance of the event, it has become a platform for global regulators to convene key working groups and policy discussions – reinforcing its role in shaping the future of Open Banking.
This year’s UK & Europe event is set to take place on 21-22 October at the Business Design Centre in London, with booking now open here. This year also marks the first Open Banking Expo USA, taking place in New York in late June, which joins the already successful Canadian event.
Winners for the Conference & Events Awards 2025 will be announced on Friday 27 June at Evolution London in Battersea Park.
