Reducing the investment that schools make on paper, which could be redirected elsewhere, the business will deliver stocks in its fleet of branded electric vehicles. What’s more, as the schools run low, they can call the company and further reel cores will be sent free of charge.
Initial feedback following the launch last week has seen the business work with no fewer than ten primary schools, all located close to the company’s headquarters in Canning Town, London.
Head of Transactional Services at FDM Document Solutions, Steve Lyon, comments: “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the end of another successful annual billing campaign than by launching a new initiative to support our local community.
“When we are busy, we always have a lot of paper reel cores that we would ordinarily recycle. Following discussions with the team, we realised we were missing an opportunity and that these could be sent to primary schools.
“Providing a welcome delivery of much needed paper, we can do our bit and reduce the cost burden on schools. We know that times are hard, and this is just one way that we can help out.”
Specialist Art and DT Teacher for Portway Primary School, Airina Narbuntiene, comments: “We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to FDM Document Solutions for their generous donation of high-quality paper to our school.
“Our Nursery children put it to wonderful use by making beautiful cards and painting vibrant flowers for Mother’s Day. The paper helped bring their creativity to life, and the results were truly heartwarming! From all of us at Portway primary School, thank you for your kindness and support.”
Having recently achieved FSC® Chain of Custody Certification, all paper supplied to the schools will feature the FSC® label, confirming that all products from FDM Document Solutions have met the Chain of Custody requirements at every step of the supply chain, from sourcing to distribution.
