Nobu Hotel London Portman Square serves up world’s first JENKI Matcha cocktails on its terrace this summer

Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, the elegant and refined five-star hotel situated in the heart of Marylebone, is opening its terrace for the summer season on the 21st of May. The menu will offer unique JENKI Matcha cocktails alongside a range of iconic Nobu dishes and sharing plates.

Matcha continues to gain popularity in the UK— with the market projected to grow by 8.3% between 2025 and 2030. Nobu Bar’s expert mixologists have created both an alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail option, using JENKI’s Ceremonial Grade Matcha powder—a ‘matcha’ made in heaven between two of London’s much-loved brands. 

 

The Yuzu JENKI Punch blends fresh Japanese-inspired flavours, and is a bold mix of Roku Gin, JENKI Matcha, yuzu, vanilla, and coconut water— a light and refreshing summer serve. For those seeking a non-alcoholic option, the talented bartenders have mixed JENKI Matcha with mint, shiso, lime, and soda – aptly named Minted Matcha.

Alongside, visitors to the terrace can enjoy a range of classic Nobu dishes, served from Nobu restaurant. Dishes designed to enjoy al-fresco include a Nobu Style Greek Salad, Courgette Tataki with Ponzu, Umami Baby Chicken and a fresh and zingy Tomato Quinoa Ceviche. The Umami Mediterranean Seabass is a larger dish, marinated in soy yasaizuke glaze, and the Nobu Style Wagyu Sliders are not to be missed. Guests can also enjoy dishes from the Sushi Selection part of the menu.

 

This season also introduces a new addition to the menu: the Taste of Nobu platter. Available for lunch and dinner, this platter features a selection of Nobu Portman Square’s renowned favourites, including Black Cod Butter Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Rice, Sashimi, and more for £68.00 per person— perfect for one to two people.

Sweet treats are available, including Japanese favourite Kakigōri, which is a traditional form of shaved ice flavoured with fruits. Taste options include cantaloupe, watermelon, or another world-first strawberry and JENKI Matcha flavour. 

 

For the Afternoon Tea lovers, this will also be served on the Terrace, with favourites like Nobu Crispy Rice, a refined Smoked Salmon Nobu Club, and the fresh Black Cod Butter Lettuce. For a sweet finish, guests can discover delicacies such as the Sudachi & Sakura Blossom Mousse and freshly baked Scones with Strawberry Shisho Jam, Clotted Cream and Yuzu Curd.
