This free New Year's Eve event is full of excitement with fireworks, live music, and other family activities.
It’s time to bid 2024 farewell and welcome 2025! Londoners may take part in a free New Year's Eve celebration in Victoria Park on Tuesday night, where they can eat local food and see performances.
New Year's Eve in the Park includes fireworks, family-friendly festivities, kid-friendly performances, and live music, with a focus on local artists.
According to Mario Circelli, co-chair of the event- It's the largest free New Year's Eve celebration in the area, so we're thrilled to be able to organize a gathering where the whole community can join together. "you really don't have to spend a dollar if you don't want to."
What to expect at the event is as follows:
London's best musicians performance
There will be two parts to the evening. According to Circelli, the first will be a children's concert from 7pm to 9pm, with artists like Paul Stock and Nick Gordon. They will use costumes, magic tricks, and music that are sure to get kids and parents dancing.
The second will have listeners jamming to a variety of musical styles performed by local musicians in London, including singer-songwriter Tyrone Traher.
DJ for the event will be music producer IM'PERETIV. The best rappers and hip-hop musicians in the area will also perform throughout his set.
Up until midnight, local artists including Forest City London Music Awards All-Star Band and Mark Swan's Good Hand will keep the audience dancing and singing. The colorful decorations including LED Sparky neon signs and lights make the ambiance even more joyful.
"We're showcasing London's unique and prolific hip-hop community and we'll have 10 of the hottest musicians and vocalists in Ontario who will play nothing but hits, songs that everyone will know, and that's how we'll ring in the new year until midnight," Circelli stated.
Fulfill your appetites with sweet and savory food
Families are welcome to enjoy the first fireworks display at 9pm, which will be followed by another at midnight. In addition to staying warm, guests may have free hot chocolates and marshmallows, which Circelli claim are always in demand.
For late-night munchies and desserts, Londoners can enjoy a range of food trucks at the event, including Big Daddy Bacon and Donut Diva.
The skating rink at Victoria Park, which is open until 9pm, is another place for families to shred the ice. Skate rentals will be available at the Kiwani Memorial Bandshell concession for £8 per person, while participants are advised to bring their own skates.
