The top award - £6,000 plus £2,000 in Jackson’s art materials - went to Eleanor Johnson for her evocative oil painting Slick With Olive Oil

The exhibition will showcase a curated selection of prize-winning and shortlisted pieces spanning painting, drawing, and printmaking. The works represent a diverse mix of voices, styles, and techniques, from emerging artists to seasoned professionals.

Now in its tenth year, Jackson’s Art Prize has awarded over £98,000 in prize money and longlisted more than 4,000 artworks, celebrating a rich variety of mediums, themes, and contemporary perspectives.

Hugo Barclay, Director of Affordable Art Fair UK, said:  “As one of the largest open-call competitions of its kind, Jackson’s Art Prize highlights outstanding new talent in painting from around the globe — offering artists a vital platform for exposure.”

Miranda Boulton, winner of the 2021 prize, shared: “Winning Jackson’s Art Prize was transformative. The support gave me the freedom to focus on my practice without the pressure of constant sales, and the confidence to take creative risks in the studio.”

All shortlisted artists are featured on Jackson’s Art Gallery, an online space dedicated to showcasing the talent and creativity behind the Prize.
