Four Weeks To Go Until London’s Latin Music Festival La Linea Returns For 25th Edition

It’s now just under a month until London’s Latin Music Festival La Linea, named one of Billboard’s best Latin music festivals for 2025, celebrates its 25th anniversary and welcomes world-class Latin stars from all over the world to the capital.

La Linea 2025

The festival will run from 22nd April until 3rd May and kicks off with an already sold-out headline show from GRAMMY winning Eliades Ochoa, the iconic Buena Vista Social Club star and one of Cuba's most celebrated artists. He’ll return to the Barbican on 22nd April to perform tracks from his latest album Guajiro as well as timeless hits like ‘Chan Chan’ and ‘Candela’.

Also confirmed is Latin GRAMMY winning singer Sílvia Pérez Cruz. Having won the esteemed National Prize for Contemporary Music in Spain, she’s established herself as one of the most captivating voices in modern music and will return to London for a performance at Union Chapel on 2nd May. The New Regency Orchestra continues to thrive following a standout performance at WOMAD festival last year and the 18-piece band perform music from their self-titled debut album at the Jazz Cafe on 1st May as well as regional dates at Cambridge Junction on 26th April and Band on the Wall in Manchester on 3rd May.

On 1st May, La Linea will feature 23-year-old Mexican Latin GRAMMY winner Ed Maverick, who will debut his new album La Nube en el Jardín. Having sold nearly a million copies globally, he performs at Union Chapel in Islington as part of just three European dates in 2025—his only UK appearance this year. On 25th April the Jazz Cafe will host trans Puerto Rican rap sensation Villano Antillano, a fast-rising star who’s gaining recognition for blending Latin rhythms with sharp social commentary and presented by London based Latin American queer collective 2CPERREA, before one of the most successful Spanish artists of the 21st century Rodrigo Cuevas performs a special set at Islington Assembly Hall on 23rd April.

The festival has announced a farewell UK performance from Brazilian band Francisco, el Hombre, who’ll showcase their fusion of Brazilian traditions with Afro-Latin rhythms, psychedelic punk rock and electro-punk at the Jazz Cafe on 26th April. London-based multi-instrumentalist and LGBTQ+ rights advocate Alex Etchart returns to La Linea after a sold-out 2023 show, presenting Queer Utópico Meets Brasil—a dynamic double bill with UK-Brazilian band Olayá. This electrifying performance takes place at SOAS on 30th April.

Also set to play the festival this spring and marking her first UK show is Portuguese singer-songwriter and producer Ana Lua Caiano joined by special guest Guatemalan/Swiss singer Baby Volcano, multi-million streamed Muerdo, BadBadNotGood collaborator Juana Aguirre and special guest Monatñera whose work crosses between Latin American folklore and experimental/alternative sounds.
