Bringing Captain Gregg to life is Obioma Ugoala, known for his role as Kristoff in Frozen at Theatre Royal Drury Lane and as the original George Washington in Hamilton. Olivier and Grammy Award-nominated Victoria Hamilton-Barritt (Cinderella, Murder Ballad) will portray Martha, while Olivier-nominated Sharif Afifi (The Band’s Visit, Hadestown) takes on the role of Miles. This workshop precedes a full stage production set for 2025.
The impressive cast also includes Andrea Bianchi (Smart Blonde, Curvy Widow) as Eva, and Patrick Clancy (Dick Turpin, Young Frankenstein) as Mr. Coombe. Connor Ewing (The Phantom of the Opera, Nativity! The Musical) will play Cyril Muir, with Rowan Macpherson (Carrie, The Last Five Years) as Anna Muir.
Carmel Dean, acclaimed composer of Renascence and Well-Behaved Women, has written the music and lyrics, with direction from Kenneth Hoyt, known for The Blue Hour of Natalie Barney. Richard Roland, who has worked on Broadway’s Follies and Thoroughly Modern Millie, serves as Associate Director, with Musical Director Tamara Saringer overseeing the musical elements.
