Taiwan to WOW UK with immersive two-day Outernet London takeover

Taiwan, is set to capture the attention of London travellers and shoppers as it takes over Tottenham Court Road’s iconic Outernet London on 12 and 13 June.

Visitors will be transported to the heart of Taiwan through iconic visuals.

Visitors can expect to be immersed in the sights and sounds of Taiwan.

The Taiwan immersion is inspired by Taiwan Tourism’s 3.0 branding, “Taiwan: Waves of Wonder,” celebrating the island’s stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture. From lush mountains to sparkling coastlines, the experience highlights Taiwan’s rich contrasts and inviting energy

Visitors will be transported to the heart of Taiwan through iconic visuals - the towering Taipei 101, serene lakes and forested trails, and bustling night markets filled with lights, flavours, and stories. It’s a journey that captures the spirit of Taiwan and shows why travellers fall in love with it again and again.

Linda Lin, Director from Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) London Office further explains: “The people of Taiwan are the most beautiful scenery - and in Taiwan, that beauty is reflected in both our cultural soul and our technological brilliance.

Whether you're exploring indigenous traditions, savouring night market delicacies, drinking Bubble Tea, or attending a symphony in a world-class opera house, Taiwan offers a travel experience where culture and creativity meet at every turn.”

Many lucky Outernet London visitors will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win an unforgettable trip to Taiwan, including two round-trip tickets from the UK generously sponsored by EVA Air, and a fully inclusive guided group tour for two, courtesy of Wendy Wu Tours.

Visitors heading to the event will also have the chance to explore one of London’s most visited free attractions, Outernet, an immersive entertainment district merging technology, art and interactive storytelling. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Taiwan through visual stories and videos broadcast on 360-degree multi-screen displays throughout the day, as well as the opportunity to pick up giveaways and gifts.

There is no need to book ahead, and the event is completely free. Opening hours are 10:00 – 16:30 on Thursday 12 June, and 10:00 – midnight on Friday 13 June.
