Job fair for those looking to work in customer service

Residents interested in pursuing a career in customer service can learn more about opportunities and training at a free event next month.

Previous Job Fair.

The job fair, which will be held on Thursday 14 November at Bury Park Community Centre, will offer residents access to help and advice from employers and training providers regarding customer-facing positions.

The event will feature a wide range of customer service roles, with many employers actively recruiting for positions available on the day. Attendees will have the chance to explore opportunities in industries such as retail, hospitality, and customer support, with roles ranging from entry-level to more experienced positions such as team leaders and supervisors.

Employers participating in the event include Whitbread, Luton Airport, Luton Town Football Club and Arriva. Luton Adult Learning will be available to provide guidance and support to residents who have been out of the workforce for some time, including training possibilities, job hunting, and career development.

Councillor Javeria Hussain, Portfolio Holder for Skills and Employability, said: “As a council, we are keen to support people in our community who want to get into the job market. This is a great opportunity for local residents to explore career pathways in customer service and speak directly with employers about jobs available.

“We encourage anyone looking for employment, a change of career or support around employability to attend.”

The customer service job fair will be held on Thursday 14 November from 1pm to 4pm, at Bury Park Community Centre, LU1 1BW.

Admission is free and attendees do not need to register.
