Once dubbed the feline equivalent of a moody teenager, Egg the cat was known for her prickly demeanour, steely glare, and staunch refusal to tolerate cuddles, claw clips, or any form of grooming.
But now, thanks to a new calming supplement designed especially for cats, Egg is purring through pampering sessions — and even starring in a music video.
Egg’s owners, Thomas Bamford and Jeni Sage, both 35, say their famously grumpy moggie has undergone a remarkable transformation since trialling MellowPet for Cats, a new vet-strength calming supplement designed to ease stress and anxiety in our feline friends.
“Egg had a rough start in life and when we rehomed her, she was wary of everything,” said Thomas, a journalist, speaking from their flat in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter.
