The housebuilder received generous donations from their employees allowing the team at the Manchester House to distribute Easter eggs to the children and families using the charity’s services.
Ronald McDonald House Manchester is a lifeline for families in the North West of England and proudly serves Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and St Mary’s Neonatal Unit. The charity provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation for families to stay close to their children while they receive treatment in hospital. Ronald McDonald House Manchester has 65 en-suite bedrooms alone to support families in the North West and beyond.
Sam Evans, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be able to support Ronald McDonald House Manchester this Easter. Not every family gets the opportunity to be close to their children while they’re in hospital, and it’s so inspiring to see the continued hard work the charity has put into UK families for more than 35 years.
“It’s so important to us as a Manchester-based business to support the families within the communities in which we build, and we hope our donation can give youngsters and their loved ones something to enjoy during a difficult time.”
Chloe Watson, Deputy House Manager at Ronald McDonald House Manchester, said: “Having a child in hospital is always difficult for families. We aim to provide a degree of normalcy for our families staying with us, celebrating special occasions, as they would do at home with their loved ones. With incredibly generous donations from our community, we can continue to provide these special moments for families. We cannot thank Taylor Wimpey Manchester enough for their thoughtful donation of Easter eggs this year – our families are sure to enjoy them together.”
Since 1989, McDonald’s have been supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities UK with more than £100 million raised for running and building their Houses. This donation directly aligns with Taylor Wimpey Manchester’s commitment to giving back to the communities they operate, where employees are encouraged to actively play a role in supporting wonderful and worthy causes.
