Ace your race recovery with The Gym Group’s limited edition classes

After months of training, marathon season is now upon us and hundreds of thousands runners across the UK will be preparing to head to the start line to take on the ultimate challenge. But the work’s not over when the running is done and the medal has been secured; getting the recovery right is key.

To help support its members, high value, low cost gym chain The Gym Group is launching limited-edition recovery classes from 28th April at its selected Manchester sites including The Gym Group Oxford Road and The Gym Group Altrincham, designed to help runners participating in the upcoming events to come back stronger.

Bookable via The Gym Group app, ‘Race Recovery’ will provide the essential post-race support, helping runners to alleviate muscle soreness, improve their flexibility, and accelerate their return to fitness. Members can expect a range of gentle stretching and mobility exercises aimed at reducing inflammation, promoting circulation, and enhancing overall recovery with The Gym Group’s expert trainers on hand for tips and advice.

Master Trainer, Jenni Tardiff, says: “Recovery is an essential but often overlooked part of the marathon training process, which is why we’re supporting our members this April to help them get it right, whether they’ve just taken part in an event or want to learn how they can implement recovery workouts into their post-run routine.
