What’s coming up at Melton Theatre in November.
Firstly we have our regular stand up comedy night with “The Comedy Store”, Fri 1st November, 8pm.
Three comics and a compare for just £16 per ticket!
On Saturday, 2nd November, 7:30 pm, we have a new act for the theatre “Tenors Unlimited”, the No.1 selling classical artists. They will be joined onstage by Melton based “Capella adult choir” for an evening of opera, musical favourites and even some pop on their great songs tour.
Sunday, 3rd November, 7:30pm, sees the return of one of our favourite tribute acts “The ELO Encounter” featuring soaring strings, striking vocal harmonies and playing all the much loved songs from ELO’s hit-filled library including “Evil Woman, Telephone Line and Don’t Bring Me Down” and so many more.
Monday, 4th November, we have something very different: Local Meltonian Sedge Wain presents “60 Years In The Wasteland”. Sedge will be looking back at his 60 years of life. With piano playing and humour all thrown in. Not at stand-up show but a show to make you stand up!
The following weekend we have a “60’s Jamboree”, Friday, November 8th, 7:30pm, A night of 60s Nostalgia - featuring great music from the likes of the Searchers – Billy Fury – Roy Orbison – The Beatles – Cilla Black – The Rolling Stones that will sure to have you singing along and your feet tapping. Cilla Black is brought to life by Victoria Jones. The music of the Beatles is re-created by two lads from the Beatles Experience, they perform as John Lennon and Paul McCartney. To Close the show, we welcome The Rewinders to re-create some fantastic 60s harmonies – so you are all in for a fab n groovy night.
Saturday, 9th November, 4pm. Melton based performing arts school “Performing Stars” present their autumn showcase.
The Melton Musical Theatre Company presents “Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical”, Wednesday, 13th - Saturday, November 16th, times vary.
Last but definitely not least, we have Trevonne School of Performing Arts with their annual pantomime "Rapunzel”, Saturday, 30th Nov – Saturday, 7th Dec.
