Is that Christmas Over for another Year? Oh No still over two weeks to Christmas.
In the last eight days we seem to have crammed in a Christmas Fayre, two evenings of Panto and a Nativity that broke all boundaries.
Yes Sunday was our Nativity Extravaganza, we started the day off with the Nativity Pageant around the local streets we had Mary and Joseph lead us off at 9am along Adele Street round George St Park and back to the Church via Manse Road.
What a turnout, Horses, Roman Soldiers and the enthusiasm and willingness to get involved from our friends and congregation was amazing to see and we thank everyone involved in making our first street pageant so wonderful. It’s a reminder of what our community church is all about as we bring the message of Jesus’s birth at Christmas to local streets.
This was followed up with the Children’s Nativity it just seems to get better and bigger every year the kids were fabulous as they told that well known Christmas Story again a massive amount of work from the team to put it all together.
To finish the day we went through to the Bethlehem Bizarre where we were fed, soup, eastern treats both savoury and sweet with a lot of good old fashioned fellowship. It’s a Day that will live long in the memory of everyone who was there.
