A Service of Remembrance

Thanksgiving and Remembrance

This special service of Remembrance was conducted by Rev John Thomson and Rev Arthur Barrie. The call to was led by Joanne Hamilton and her daughter Isla. Joanne then read the scripture passages. 

The Choir sang the anthem ‘Let the Living God Be Praised‘. The theme for the service was Sacrifice and Remembrance. 

A wreath was placed at the plaque of Remembrance by Alan Joyce. A time of silent reflection was followed by the singing of the national anthem. A celebration tea was served at the close of the service.

Members of the Guild enjoyed a visit to Perth Museum which was followed by high tea. The event was greatly enjoyed by all who attended.

Junior Organisations meet as usual this week . A Christian Aid Songs of Praise will take place in St Mary’s on Thursday, May 15.

Sunday is Christian Aid Sunday and there will be an opportunity to support this worthwhile work.
